We are Dyneon.

Dyneon stands for high-performance fluoropolymers made in Europe. Building on decades of expertise, we develop and manufacture products that enable demanding applications in communication, mobility, energy, and other essential industries. As an independent specialist, we aim to combine technical excellence with responsible manufacturing and long-term partnerships – creating reliable solutions for customers, employees, and society.

Since July, 2026, Dyneon operates as an independent company, combining a strong heritage with entrepreneurial agility and a clear strategic direction.

1934

Hoechst AG files the patent for CTFE polymerization, laying the foundation for fluoropolymer innovation.

1957

3M purchases Chemical Manufacturing Division from M.W. Kellogg Co.

1987

Hoechst begins toll manufacturing of fluoroelastomer latex for 3M, establishing a long-term industrial partnership.

1996

Dyneon is founded as a joint venture between 3M and Hoechst AG in Gendorf, Germany.

1999

Following the acquisition of Hoechst's shares, Dyneon becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of the 3M Group.

2026

Dyneon becomes an independent mid-sized company, marking the beginning of a new chapter.
